I have had an aluminum tall 40 qt for nearly 15 years, and paid more for that back then and the lid was EXTRA. But this pot is a Dream. You can stir the contents without having to take it off the burner,the contruction is exquisite,beautifully heat conductive, and cleanup is a BREEZE, Unlike my previous pot which you could not leave anything in it overnight to cool else the thing would Pock and ruin it, BUT THIS POT ROCKS! I could not be HAPPIER!!!

I love this thing.
It is so nice to get away from the thin walled turkey fryer style pots.
Heavy walls, great valve and clear thermometer.
I am using this with a Bayou Classic SP10 High-Pressure Outdoor Gas Cooker.
The handles get hot from the cooker so have pot holders ready if you need to move it.
unless you already own some, buy some larger channel locks to put the thermometer and ball valve on.
Even with Teflon tape I get a bit of leaking around my ball valve, just had to REALLY torque down on it to tighten it.
This only happened at high heat.
Made a great batch of all grain.

(More customer reviews)I ordered the pot for a craw fish boil this weekend. I received the item on time, but the pot was not very well made. The strainer handle broke off when I attempted to lift the first batch of craw fish from the boiling water. Also, the rivets on the lid handle do not appear to be finished (they were just punched straight through) and look to be the next piece that breaks.
Amazon also does not give you the option to contact this seller. Very disappointing.

It is quite thick and I can pour 7 gallons of homebrew from the pot to the fermenter without any bending. The lid is nice and sturdy and I would definitely buy this again. I bought it for $75 with free shipping from Amazon. You can't beat that deal. The rivet holes for the handles leaked the first time I brewed in it but haven't leaked since then. I have used it for 5 brews and 2 corn roasts. Great pot!

(More customer reviews)I use this pot to boil wort for beer making. It was about the most inexpensive stainless steel pot I could find of it's size. I wanted to be able to do full boils and this can boil 8 gallons without boiling over.
The steel is a bit thin, but I expected this for a pot under $100. Although the walls are thin, I have not no issues with strength or build quality. I feel completely comfortable picking the pot up with 6 gallons of boiling liquid in it. Although heavy, the handles are up to the task and remain cool.
Although there are higher quality pots out there, I don't think you can find another pot at this price at this quality level. I would recommend this pot to anyone looking for a large stock pot and a good price.

Bayou Classic 9195 32-Quart Stainless-Steel Outdoor Turkey Fryer Kit with Burner Review

I ordered this model number (#9195) on February 9th 2010 from Amazon, it was just delivered today (February 16, 2010). The one I received does NOT match the "Product Features" description. According to Amazon.com's product listing the model #9195 is supposed to have the 20 PSI regulator and a 48" hose. However! The box I received says it's the #9195 model number BUT the features listed on the box don't match this product listing here! The #9195 I received says it includes a 10 PSI regulator and 36" hose. I just added an image to the customer images on this product for you all to see.
There is a difference though it may seem small! A 20 PSI regulator gives more control over the flame on the burner, and obviously a 48" hose is well... longer than a 36" hose! I'm impatiently waiting for Amazon to correct this. I'm crossing my fingers they send the one that actually matches the "product features" listed here. I will update you all with the results when I get them.**UPDATE February 19, 2010**
Amazon has once again, screwed up my order on this product. I ordered this way in advance so that I could have it by today. They attempted to exchange it for the correct one... and lone behold, the one they rushed to correct the mix-up was not only sent directly from Amazon's Returns Center instead of Bayou directly like it was the first time... but it was also a cheaper model!! A model that was nearly half the price I paid at the time for the model #9195 (which was a hundred seventy six dollars!). So since no retailers near me sell these in stock (which is why I purchased it here in the first place). I got stuck having to use the one they sent me as a "correction" which was an older and much cheaper model, which it too was a 10PSI regulator and 36" hose ... because there was no way they'd be able to correct it in time for today AGAIN. They issued me a refund of the difference in cost for the one I ended up needing to keep. I also, have since looked up the model #9195 from Bayou's company catalog online and sure enough Amazon has the wrong product description for this model number!! So BUYER BEWARE EVERYONE! In all my years doing business with Amazon.com this is the first time I've had them screw up this royally. However, they will still have my business because the customer service to resolve this issue was great--even though, I had to Google to get their direct customer service number (1-800-201-7575)!**UPDATE March 3, 2010**
I can't help but laugh now. Amazon temporarily made this item unavailable for ordering while waiting to process my return but since my return was received they have now made the item available again through them.... and Amazon has still NOT updated the product description on this item! So everyone PLEASE BE AWARE this fryer set does NOT include a 20 PSI regulator or 48 inch hose! To everyone that orders it, and it doesn't match the product description--I encourage you to call and complain! Get a discount for false advertisement! Perhaps if they get enough complaints they'll get smart and finally correct their incorrect product description!**UPDATE December 18, 2010**
Looks like enough of you took my advice and complained to Amazon for the incorrect product description! Because the product description now FINALLY reflects the correct description! So thank you all for reading my review and for taking my advice! Aside from the ordering problems I had, Bayou turkey frying kits are great for home-brewing beer. If you're getting a Bayou kit for home brewing I highly recommend getting a Stainless Steel kit, as using an Aluminum pot will mess with the flavor and quality of your brew.
