(More customer reviews)I ordered this pot looking for something big enough to make soup and chili and maybe double as a pot for cooking crabs or lobsters with a steam rack. This item more than qualifies! It is nice heavy gauge steel, has plenty of room for pots of soup and chili with room to actually stir the contents! I tend to get carried away when I make soup! It is large enough for asparagus to stand and be steamed, many ears of corn, 2-4 live lobsters, live crabs and large enough for a crowd pleasing pot of chili! It washes up quick and easy, holds a low simmer without burning anything even chili beans on the bottom. It has a nice heft and thickness as well as a lid to boot! It did not come with a steam rack but that was easy to add with what I had on hand. I was very pleasantly surprised with this pot. It met all my expectations including a low price that made it and exceptional value!

West Bend 86628 Automatic Egg Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)The 86628 works just fine BUT I bought it based on West Bend's advertized wattage rating of 600W--thinking more is better. In actuality the unit is only rated at 350W. West Bend claims they're changing the misinformation on their site today.
My previous Egg Cooker was an Oster and it was OK.
I prefer my new 86628 because: It's all plastic so the egg holder won't discolor as did the Oster. The water measuring cup allows exact measures not like some others where you add water to the base. The egg holder allows you to remove all the eggs at once and imerse in cooling water so you don't have to handle each egg separately. The 'done' signal is LOUD. I like the positive Off/On switch. Others shut off the unit when cooking is finished. In my opinion that kind of temperature sensitive switching is a weakness. Which is what happened to my Oster. Although the water measuring instructions don't make sence to me, ie: more eggs need less water, I followed the instructions for soft boiling 4 and the eggs were perfect. And AMAZON.com is an excellent way to buy merchandise.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice cooker. It is aluminim, so it takes longer to heat than stainless steel, but once hot, does a nice job. Easy clean up with a hose and soap and brush. make sure you clean with in 24 hours of use, or the sea salt will leave a brown tarnish. Not anything bad, but just looks funny. We used for 6 lobsters, 2 lbs king crab, red potatoes and 6 ears of corn, and put a 2lb bag of mussels in as well. Came out great and a great thing even in the winter to stand outside around the pot and have a cookout.

(More customer reviews)I bought this pot for our tailgates. We usually do a shrimp boil at least once a year. We had a 30 qt pot that was almost overflowing, so I thought a new pot was in order. This thing is huge. We did our normal boil for 20 people and the pot was barely over half full. Plenty of room for our tailgate to grow.
Pot is heavy duty and will last a life time. Very well made. In retrospect, I probably should have bought the 40 Qt (as the wife regularly reminds me). Was the talk of the tailgate. Now just have to figure out where I'll store it ....

(More customer reviews)We recently purchased the King Kooker Stainless Steel Pot after our aluminum one developed a hole in the bottom of it, rendering it useless, after only 6 uses. What a big difference in the quality of stainless vs aluminum. The pot is obviously heavier but I would definitely not consider it heavy. We have used it only two times but the success was great. The heat was evenly distributed and the turkeys and chickens cooked perfectly. I highly recommend stainless especially with all the negative things coming out regrading cooking with aluminum.

Nonstick 4-Piece Egg/Pancake Ring Set Review

(More customer reviews)These rings are the perfect size for making eggs to put on english muffins or small hamburger buns. (like the Breakfast Jack) I have not tried to make pancakes in them, because they would be really tiny and I do not have a need for perfectly round pancakes. This product consists of four separate rings that can connect to a handle. I have had my best results when I just use the rings by themselves and don't bother with the handle. The eggs still stick to the edge of the ring a little bit, so I have to tap the spatula against the ring as I am lifting it up (using a glove-style potholder. When the rings are all connected it is harder to get each egg out of the ring cleanly. Also, be aware that if your pan is a little warped, then a little bit of egg can leak from under the ring. If you just leave it, however, the little bit that leaks will cook fast and prevent more from leaking out.
Overall, I love these! I worked at Jack in the Box as a teenager and have always wanted egg rings. I gave it 4 stars just because the handle is kind of flimsy and it really is impractical to use for pancakes.
